We’ve retrofitted SILA-P7 into a Schunk PHL-63-80S gripper,replacing its pneumatic actuator. Tests showed clear performance, cost and time saving benefits with no jamming risk cf. conventional EMAs:
Objects can be gripped at high rate using simple current control without need for a buffer zone or knowing object dimensions.
Soft and fragile objects like groceries can be gripped securely purely using current control – without extra sensors.
Objects are gripped with high accuracy(4μm) and force(750N).
